BRITANNIA SUMMER NATIONAL
A highlight of the racing calendar; The Britannia Summer National comes to Uttoxeter again on Sunday 27th June 2010. We would like to thank Britannia for their tremendous support towards this fabulous day which has been growing in popularity and size each year since it started ten years ago.
A mass of entertainment will take over the centre of the course featuring an enormous playground for children big and small!! The Inflatable World and Giant Crazy Cottage provide eight varieties of bouncy castles and a hard task to try bouncing on each one! An 80ft Astroglide Slide with three lanes is available to children from only 3 years old if accompanied by an adult. Face painters will create lions, butterflies, superheroes and monsters to name only a few of the children’s wonderful transformations on the day.
Visitors will find it very hard to avoid Titan the Robot standing over 2m high and walking around the course all day. Titan will be presenting some lucky children with competition prizes throughout the day so listen out for details.
We have two fabulous shows during the day that are not be missed; The Crazy Bears perform song, dance, games and ‘crazy’ goings-on from their own fully self-contained stage. They will delight audiences of all ages! The Wacky Tumblairs will perform two colourful shows with trampoline stunts, spinning plate routines, musical and magical clowning, stilt walking and hilarious audience participation. Gates open at 11.00am with the first race at 1.40pm. There are seven exciting jump races which can be enjoyed from anywhere around the course; soak up the thrilling atmosphere from the Main Grandstand, bring your own picnic in to the centre course or splash out on a private hospitality box in the Prince Edward Grandstand.
