Uttoxeter Racecourse Scoops Retail, Leisure, Culture and Tourism Business of the Year
Uttoxeter Racecourse has been judged Retail, Leisure, Culture and Tourism Business of the Year at the prestigious Staffordshire Chambers Business Awards 2018.
In a glittering ceremony at the Staffordshire County Showground, the racecourse, centrally located in the heart of England, and set in rolling Staffordshire countryside, received the accolade as a gleaming example of all that is positive about the county.
Delivering a first-class tourism offer all year round, Uttoxeter is home to 25 race fixtures per annum, including the Betfred Midlands Grand National, Music Live Race Night, Ladies Night, Great British Family Funday, and Summer Cup, as well as hugely popular events such as the Marston’s Beer Festival and Acoustic Festival of Great Britain.
With its array not just of race meetings, but dining and conference facilities, family events, venue hire opportunities, and special events, the course prides itself on adding significantly to the offer of the county as a whole, bringing tens of thousands of visitors to the area every year.
