UTTOXETER Racecourse is celebrating after being unveiled as a finalist in the 2018 Showcase & Awards after racehorse owners praised the attraction as one of the finest in the country.
In conjunction with The Racehorse Owners Association (ROA), Uttoxeter is one of five courses shortlisted for the coveted Owners’ Experience Award which acknowledges core themes of excellence and innovation in racecourses that have provided an exemplary experience for racehorse owners.
The ROA nominated Uttoxeter Racecourse after praising its innovation of providing owners with a private viewing box and complementary drink.
Uttoxeter is up against Ludlow, Newbury, Newmarket, and Wetherby for the accolade. The winner will be announced at the Showcase Awards on Thursday November 8 at Aintree Racecourse.
Managed by the Racecourse Association (RCA), and the benchmark for the industry, the Showcase & Awards celebrate excellence and innovation at British racecourses.
“The nominees really reflect the ‘innovation and excellence’ ethos of the RCA’s Showcase & Awards,” said Charlie Liverton, Chief Executive of the ROA, “and have been shortlisted thanks to the feedback from ROA members, which this year has been received in unprecedented levels. Uttoxeter’s private viewing box with a complimentary drink went down very well.”

The five nominated finalists will now enter a submission to convince an independent judging panel that their owners’ experience is deserving of this prestigious award.
