The Summer Cup is a National Hunt Handicap Steeplechase open to horses aged five years or older, offering a thrilling test of stamina and jumping ability. The race was first run in 2000 as the Summer National over a distance of about 4 miles. The distance was reduced to three and a half miles in 2009. The race was rebranded as the Summer Cup and reduced further to its current distance in 2012. In 2025, Only The Bold was victorious with Gavin Sheehan, Trained by Jamie Snowden, Owned by Value Racing.
