Owners & Trainers

Owners, Syndicates & Shared Ownerships can register for up to eight O&T badges per runner through the PASS system before race day itself. These badges include access to the Clarke’s Owners and Trainers suite and a complimentary lunch.

The other option is to request a minimum 20 syndicate badges for access to the Syndicates Lounge.

We can’t offer a combination of both so Owners must choose in advance if they wish to enjoy Clarke’s O&T suite for up to eight people or Syndicate Lounge facilities if more than 20 would like to watch the race.

We allow up to eight Owners per horse in the Parade Ring. There is some flexibility on this, if we have advance notice then we will try to grant more badges as we understand how important this part of the race day is for everyone involved.

We will do our best to accommodate all requests, please note, we do not guarantee any more than eight Parade Ring passes.

We will need to have the names of the eight people for the Parade Ring and they will be given a wristband on arrival for access.

The Clarke’s Owners and Trainers lounge, hosted by Debbie Newman, is reserved exclusively for Owners & Trainers with runners on a raceday. It is perfectly located between the parade and pre-parade rings, and offers complimentary lunch including desserts along with Tea & Coffee. There is a full bar for you to buy alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks on the day and its own tote service. If there are any specific dietary or allergen requirements for any guests, please contact us in advance of the day by emailing owners@uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk

Our tables within O&T cannot be reserved for the day unfortunately. When you finish dining, please be considerate and vacate the table or offer to share with other O&T to ensure that all guests can enjoy their experience.

If Owners wish to dine in the main restaurant, we do offer an exclusive for Owners. Please contact owners@uttoxeter-racecourse.co.uk

Our Syndicate lounge is next to the Clarkes Owners suite and overlooks the Parade Ring. This allows exclusive access to O&T and syndicates specifically who requested more than 20 asses for a race day.

The syndicate passes must be booked in advance and they offer a private area to enjoy the races. It includes complimentary Tea, Coffee & biscuits and we have a pay bar and light food offer available too.

On arrival, please head for the Owners & Trainers Entrance, located at the main turnstiles, where Gill Booth will look forward to welcoming you, provide your badges and brief you on the day's information.

Free Wi-Fi is available at Uttoxeter Racecourse and all other 16 courses within the ARC group. It only needs to be registered for once and then will log you on automatically each time. Details of how to log on can be found in the O&T and Syndicate suites.

Nothing matters more to us at Uttoxeter Racecourse than the safety and welfare of both horse and rider. We take this into account for all aspects of the raceday from the track itself to the experts we have on hand to support in the event of an incident.

We have a dedicated and experienced team of highly-qualified Vets, Doctors and Paramedics. They are responsible for monitoring and providing care to all of the competitors during their time at the racecourse. We also have a high-specification horse ambulance on site which can quickly move horses safely from the track to our on-site veterinary treatment facility or to an equine hospital.

We always put screens up around a horse or jockey who needs attention on the course. This is to provide privacy and a safe, calm environment for the patient. Please do not assume the worst if screens are erected around a horse.

We are fully committed to offering the highest possible quality of care for the horses and jockeys racing at Uttoxeter Racecourse and work to minimise risk in our sport.

We encourage guests to dress up for the occasion of a day at the races, but don’t have a strict dress code. We do ask that there are no ripped jeans, sports shirts or scruffy trainers and definitely no offensive fancy dress. Guests should consider that a most of the day is spent outdoors so make sure you check the weather and come dressed with that in mind.

We have a great view from the balcony in our Lady Clarke’s winning connections room where Owners with a horse in the race can watch.

For other races where your horse isn’t entered, you can watch from our Premier Grandstand, which has a great view overlooking the finishing line.

For those unable to join on the day, all racing from Uttoxeter is broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing Channel 415.

Up to eight people can access the Parade Ring per runner. These names need to be registered in advance via the PASS system.

Children U12 are not permitted access into the Parade Ring.

Winning connections can watch a re-run of their race in Winning Connections, hosted by Lisa Kirkham. Celebrate the race with a glass of Champagne and our delicious petit fours.

We also make a presentation to every winning Owner, Trainer & Jockey. There is a choice of memento on the day and all winners receive a complimentary photograph. The memento and photo will be given to the Trainer or their representative of any owners who can’t attend on the day.

If winning owners are not present, we will offer the placed connections to enjoy the same experience.

We give complimentary USB copies of the race to all winning and placed Owners on the day. If you would like numerous copies for syndicates and stable staff please let us know how many on the day.

The nearest hotel is the Premier Inn Uttoxeter. Located a 5 min drive from the racecourse. There are many other types of accommodation in the area which can easily be found online by using travel booking websites.

Keep an eye out for announcements about Inspections or the abandonment of racing or races on our social media including Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram. All announcements will also be made through Racing Admin.

We love to hear your feedback as it helps us to know what we’re getting right and what we need to work on. There are two ways to give us feedback:

On racedays feedback postcards are available in all O&T facilities. Please take time to complete these and hand to a member of staff so that we can learn what we are doing well, and where we can do better.

We also have ROA QR code within the O&T areas to scan and provide feedback on the day or at a later stage online.

We have a William Hill Betting Shop near the parade ring. Plus, a number of Tote windows are around the racecourse, including in the foyer of the O&T suite.

A variety of bookmakers also operate outside in front of the viewing grandstands.

We don’t have cash machines on site so bring cash with you to bet, bookmakers also take debit cards only and Totes will give you cash back if needed.

Priority parking is reserved for Owners & Trainers, please follow the direction of our parking stewards and signage on the day.

A number of forward parking spaces are reserved for Accessibility and Blue Badges. These are offered on a first come basis. If you have a particular accessibility request, please contact the Racecourse Office in advance on 01889 562561

Uttoxeter Train Station is located at Uttoxeter Racecourse and is a great way to travel to the venue.

Uttoxeter Racecourse operates as a cashless site. Bookmakers do still allow cash and cash back can be obtained from the Tote.

Winning Owners will all receive a complimentary photo of their horse on the day.

A Going Report for all race days is made seven days before each fixture and is updated regularly through TurfTrax.

The latest Going will be available from the home page.

We are a friendly racecourse at Uttoxeter and opening welcome children accompanied by an adult in our O&T facilities.

For those aged under 12 we allow a maximum of two children per party in the Clarke’s Owners and Trainers Lounge, which includes lunch.

For those children aged over 12 they count as part of the eight badges allocated on the day and will need their own badge and lunch voucher for access.
