ONE of the UK’s newest bookmakers BresBet is to sponsor two special racedays at Uttoxeter Racecourse in 2022.

BresBet Ladies Day takes place on Friday, July 22, when Take That star Howard Donald takes to the decks with a DJ set after racing.

Then, on Sunday, October 2, Uttoxeter hosts BresBet Gentleman’s Day and another great day’s racing and entertainment is promised.

Brian Barrass, general manager at Uttoxeter Racecourse, said: “Everyone here at Uttoxeter Racecourse loves both BresBet Ladies Day and Gentleman’s Days and we’re really looking forward to welcoming our racegoers in all their finery.

“For Ladies Day we were delighted to announce Take That’s Howard Donald will perform a DJ set after racing. There’s always a great atmosphere here and everyone looks well-turned out in their outfits. Of course, gents are welcome, too, and this fixture is the perfect excuse to smarten up and enjoy a special day at the races. Ladies have the chance to enter our style awards with the winner picking up a cheque for £500.

“Then, of course, it’s Gentleman’s Day on October 2 and we again expect the gents to dress to impress with prizes on offer in our best-dressed competition.”

David Perry, BresBet’s managing director, said: “We are proud and excited to be supporting two of the major racedays at Uttoxeter this year.

“We are approaching the second year of a betting partnership with Uttoxeter and cannot praise management at the racecourse enough for their help and cooperation.

“The track knows how to put on a classy and competitive day’s racing with plenty of entertainment for all racegoers.

“When BresBet launched in September 2021 as a new bookmaker specialising in football, horse and greyhound racing, we vowed to support the communities we are involved with.

“This now includes partnerships with racehorse trainers Fergal O’Brien and Milton Harris and leading jockey Paddy Brennan, plus we have recently launched our BresBet Rising Stars initiative supporting young sporting talent – and we were delighted to announce conditional jockey Emma Smith-Chaston as our first BresBet Rising Star.”
